RARE Rolex Oyster Perpetual Red Letter Submariner (#1680) Matte Dial With Thin Oyster Bracelet! The reference 1680 Submariner is a so called "red sub", Caliber 1570 movement .Non quick set date.
Case: Original stainless steel case measures 39mm diameter by 13.9mm thick. The "top hat" style acrylic crystal sits high in the watch and gives the reference 1680 Submariner its signature look. The 1680 is my favorite Submariner of all. Original screw down Triplock crown is operating perfectly. This watch case is in mint+ condition.
Case Condition: Stainless steel case is in Excellent (95%) condition. Serial number 336... (1971).
Dial Condition: 100% ORIGINAL (I even checked the back of the dial) black Matte dial in Excellent (95%) condition with luminous markers (aged). Original and untouched black dial has a pleasing patina across the hour markers and is in mint condition. Date display at 3 o'clock
Bezel Condition: Excellent (95%) condition bezel insert and still turns freely. There are some light scratches on it but is expected from a 39 year old watch.
Bracelet/Strap: 100% ORIGINAL Rolex Oyster bracelet in Excellent (80%) condition. Comes with 10 links
Movement: Movement just serviced and keeping great time.Original movement is the automatic winding, C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions. Movement is clean and mint.
Remarks: A really fantastic looking piece with a great condition for it`s age.Very collectable! Definitely an investment piece! This is a collector’s treat, in my opinion. The RED sub sports model are interesting and historical watches and this is jewel among them. Comes with rolex box but no paper
